We won't lie, friend: August has been a tough month for our team.

Not only has our fundraising hit a mid-summer slump, but this is the first full month that we've had two right-wing GOP opponents attacking Sean's record in Congress.

Look, you know that we don't like to send "the sky is falling" messages to our team, but this is when we need you to step up.

In order to get back on track, we set an ambitious goal that we need our supporters to help us reach. And it's pivotal that we hit it.

Our goal is simple: We need 250 grassroots supporters to pitch in $25 dollars by the end of the month. Will you help us?

This month, Sean has been going to every event that he can go to in the district. He's been everywhere.

And he's doing it to learn how he can better represent Illinois' 6th.

That's why he's held eight town halls. It's why he's been a leader on health care, climate change, and gun safety.

But we shouldn't take Sean's success for granted. He's the first Democrat to flip this seat in 46 years -- and Republicans recruited extremist former Lt. Governor Evelyn Sanguinetti and "conservative crusader" Jeanne Ives to beat him.

That's why we need to get back on track and hit our goal. Will you be one of the 250 grassroots supporters to help us finish the month off right?

Let's hit this goal and win this race -- the stakes are too high to fail.
