He’s the mastermind of this administration’s cruelest overreaches, with no intention to stop until 2026’s America is a place where believing in equality and justice for all is a crime.

It sounds inflammatory, but in Trump’s first term, Stephen Miller architect of the infamous “Muslim ban” and ended DACA protections for undocumented people who were brought here as kids. [2]

Now, just one year into Trump’s second term, he’s declared war on our right to free speech [3], abducted thousands of people away from their families [4], and is bypassing Congress to try and drive our country into war with Venezuela. [5]

Here’s the reality: with Stephen Miller, cruelty is the point. Even in Trump’s White House, he’s thought of as a bully who openly demeans the people around him. [6]

But at Common Cause, we’re not afraid of bullies. Last year, we took on Elon Musk when he decided to unleash his slash-and-burn campaign on our safety nets. We took on the Washington Post when they attempted to silence us. And because we rely on people like you to fund our work, there are no billionaires dictating what fights we can and can’t take on.
