“E.P.A. to Stop Considering Lives Saved When Setting Rules on Air Pollution”
– New York Times, 1/12/26

This is appalling, John.
Donald Trump’s EPA will no longer consider how many lives are saved when setting pollution limits. Instead, it will consider the cost to businesses of complying with clean air regulations.
It’s up to us to make sure people’s lives matter more than the profits of Big Polluters. Add your name to CONDEMN Trump’s rollbacks >>>
The EPA is breaking with 40 years of precedent, making it easier for corporations to clog our skies — and our bodies — with pollutants that are linked to asthma, heart attack, stroke, lung cancer, and even premature death.
This is a cruel choice, John. A choice to abandon the communities that have already paid the highest price: families living near highways, refineries, and power plants who are told, once again, that their lives matter less than polluters’ bottom lines.
And it shows Trump’s playbook has a common theme:
➡️ Stop enforcing rules that save American lives so Big Oil billionaires can make another buck.
➡️ Start an illegal war to seize Venezuela's oil reserves and protect his fossil fuel cronies.
➡️ Become the first presidential administration in history to get the EPA to calculate the monetary value of a human life as zero.
The Trump administration has always been pro-profit and pro-polluter, and we need to put a stop to it.
Add your name NOW if you agree that Congress needs to step in and stop Trump’s pro-polluter agenda.
Thanks for taking action,
Team JanePAC
