It’s NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani. I’m endorsing my friend Claire Valdez for New York’s 7th Congressional District. Please join me in supporting her campaign.
Even when we served together in the State Assembly, Claire led like a union organizer–because that’s who she is. She came to politics through low-wage customer service jobs. She found her power and her voice in her union. That’s the exact perspective that we need in Congress.
NY’s 7th Congressional District was my single strongest district. I need an ally who truly stands up for our values to represent such a beacon for progressive change.
And her values are the right ones. She’s running to build the labor movement, fight for Medicare for All, and take on the roots of rising fascism with a real working-class agenda. She’s thoughtful and tough as nails.
She knows like I do that moral victories are not enough; the only acceptable option is winning and delivering for the working class.
