John,

I want to share an important update about the leadership of Ground Game Texas. We are strengthening our leadership to meet this moment.

As a democracy and social justice organization rooted in frontline organizing across Texas, this means ensuring our Board reflects the clarity, discipline, and accountability this work requires.

We are proud to welcome the following leaders to the Ground Game Texas Board:

Cliff Walker
Cliff Walker is a seasoned progressive strategist with nearly two decades of experience building organizations, advising candidates, and shaping statewide political strategy in Texas. His work centers on movement communications, leadership development, and long-term power building.
Chris Harris
Chris Harris is a Texas-based civil rights advocate with deep experience challenging mass incarceration, surveillance, and racial inequities in the criminal legal system. He brings a track record of winning campaigns rooted in community accountability and systems change.
Angel Carroll
Angel Carroll is a policy and data equity strategist who works at the intersection of justice reform, mental health, and public systems accountability. She is known for bridging research and lived experience to help institutions move from intention to impact.
Radney Wood
Radney Wood is an attorney and governance advisor with experience in voting rights, litigation, and organizational leadership. He brings deep expertise in legal strategy, risk management, and nonprofit board governance, along with a long commitment to pro bono advocacy.

Read more about them on our website.

Each of these leaders brings deep experience across civil rights, law, communications, data equity, climate justice and statewide policy, along with a shared commitment to community-led power in Texas.

We are also grateful that Megan Field will serve as Board Chair and Mike Siegel will continue serving on the board, providing continuity and institutional knowledge as we enter this next phase of work.

Strong leadership matters especially in a moment when democracy is being actively undermined and checks and balances are under strain. Local control remains one of the most important lines of defense for our communities, and we are confident this board reflects the seriousness, clarity, and accountability this work requires.
