Health Information Bill to enhance healthcare and data protection for S'poreans

The Health Information Bill will allow Singaporeans to access more effective healthcare, by allowing healthcare providers to share information across different institutions.

Data privacy is paramount, and Singaporeans will be able to monitor the access of their data through their HealthHub account. Data access is also limited to healthcare professionals involved in the patient’s care.

Members of the GPC for Health raised important questions about the security of Singaporeans’ data, fulfilling their mandate to scrutinise legislation. Read and watch.

Prime Minister Lawrence Wong has declared the immediate termination of Pritam Singh's position as Leader of the Opposition. The decision came after Parliament passed a motion on Jan 14 expressing regret at Mr Singh’s conduct. Read more

Parliament passed the Singapore Sports Council Amendment Bill to strengthen and build a more inclusive sporting ecosystem. The new Bill will provide more holistic support to nurture athletes and recognise new sports such as e-sports and chess. Read and watch
