John,

As you might have noticed, I’ve been concerned about the United States Postal Service for a few months now -- we even circulated a petition calling on the federal government to safeguard this essential service.

That’s why this headline in The Washington Post caught my eye:

“Postal Service memos detail ‘difficult’ changes, including
slower mail delivery”

Once again, the USPS is under attack, with its new leadership issuing ominous memos about cost-cutting measures that will impact service.

John, it’s more urgent than ever that we act to save the USPS. Will you join me and add your name to our petition today? >> [link removed]

The USPS is a vital public service that Americans in every corner of every state rely on—to stay connected to one another, to receive medicine and essential goods in the mail, and to cast mail-in ballots.

This last function will be particularly important during this crisis year when so much of our democracy will depend on our citizens’ ability to cast their votes by mail.

An attack on the Postal Service is an attack on our democracy and an attack on essential, lifesaving care that Americans rely on. Full stop.

The current administration is telling us that we must accept slower mail delivery and higher prices or expect to see the Post Office go bankrupt and disappear altogether. Frankly, both options are unacceptable.

We can’t let these attacks on our civic services continue. Please sign on to join me in protecting the USPS today >> [link removed]

Thanks for standing with me,

Chris
