John,

From day one of this campaign, I made a decision that most politicians are too afraid to make.

We refused to sell out.

We chose to tell the truth, even when it made powerful people uncomfortable. We chose not to hide behind consultant-tested talking points. We chose not to water down our values. And we chose not to take a single dime from corporate PACs or special interest groups like AIPAC.

That decision has put a target on my back.

Because a people-first, working-class campaign like ours is dangerous to the billionaire class that has been playing kingmaker in politics for decades. They know that if regular people start winning, their grip on power starts slipping.

Just today, I held a joint press conference with Kina Collins and Joey Ruzevich calling out the billionaires who are trying to buy Illinois’ next members of Congress.

Now, we are less than three months out from Election Day, and we are in the most important stretch of this race. The candidates who played it safe and sold out, have surged ahead in fundraising while my campaign comes under attack. We always knew this would happen.

But here is what the pundits always get wrong. The campaign that raises the most money does not automatically win. The campaign that wins is the one that earns the trust of voters, builds real local relationships, and has just enough resources to get their message in front of the people who need to hear it.

And despite our refusal to sell out, we are still one of the top-funded campaigns in this race. Thousands of people have stepped up by giving what they can, when they can, because they believe in this movement. That is the power of grassroots organizing. That is the power of running a campaign rooted in honesty and community.

But now it is crunch time.

We are preparing our first major ad buy. We are expanding our field program to knock more doors, make more calls, and reach more voters across the district. This is the moment when campaigns either surge forward or fall behind.

If you believe in this campaign and what we stand for, I am asking you to help us meet this make-or-break moment. Can you rush a contribution of $25, $15, or whatever you can spare today to help us reach more voters and win this race?
