Dear Neighbors,
My heart goes out to our Northside community and the Minnesotans impacted by another act of violence involving an ICE officer. We do not deserve this, no neighborhood or corner of Minnesota does.
I encourage our neighbors to remain peaceful, know their rights, look out for each other, and above all stay safe. As true today as it was last week - for the safety of our communities - ICE must leave Minnesota.
In times like this, coming together in community is incredibly important.

This Saturday morning, at 10am, I’ll be joining local leaders for a Virtual Town Hall, and I hope you can too. This will be a great opportunity to touch base on the state of affairs facing our community, as well as the conditions, laws and happenings with the current ICE surge.
The event will take place on Zoom, which you can access here.
Meeting ID: 898 7964 8077
Passcode: 2026
Additionally, Attorney General Keith Ellison now has a website to report and compile these violations we’ve seen from ICE officers in our community. If your rights have been violated by federal immigration agents, as we have seen happen with increased regularity in recent days, please let the Attorney General's Office know about it.
This too shall pass, and when it does, this is where accountability starts!
