The barbaric actions of ICE in Minnesota in recent weeks have Americans wondering how to fight back. The majority in Congress is refusing to use its oversight powers. We are proud of our Sanders Institute Fellow, Rep. Pramila Jayapal is doing this important work.

Tomorrow, Rep. Pramila Jayapal (WA-07) and Rep. Ilhan Omar (MN-05) are hosting a field hearing titled Kidnapped and Disappeared: Trump’s Deadly Assault on Minnesota. This shadow hearing will dive deeper into Trump’s unlawful and aggressive actions in Minneapolis and will feature witnesses who will speak to personal trauma and constitutional violations.

Rep. Jayapal has secured the participation of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, MN Attorney General Keith Ellison, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, more than a dozen members of Congress, and local leaders for this livestreamed press event.
