Major update: In another win for the people of California, a federal court has ruled to uphold Proposition 50 — a measure voters overwhelmingly supported this past November.
This was the sixth effort to undermine the will of California voters — and we have beaten back every one of them.
Bottom line: Prop 50 is lawful. That’s why, to date, every single challenge against it has failed.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: when we fight, with the law on our side, we win.
This week I reaffirmed my decision to run for re-election to serve as your Attorney General, and it’s moments like this that remind me I’m exactly where I need to be: protecting and defending the rights of the people of this great state.
