Momentum’s on our side! Over the weekend, hundreds of demonstrations took place across the country in remembrance of Renee Nicole Good and the lives brutally taken by our country’s punishing immigration system. On Tuesday night, over 350 of us came together at our “Powered by the People: ICE Out of Our Communities” Call to be in community with one another and make sense of this moment.
In a moment where we’re witnessing our communities being targeted, harassed, and torn apart, the people in control expect us to sit in isolation and fear. But our communities know a different way forward. We know our power comes from us standing united and choosing peace over destruction. 💪🧡
This is a moral moment, and silence is not an option. We’re ready to be visible, be courageous, and lead our communities in mass non-violent organizing to secure the future we need.
That’s why we’re launching our nationwide “Powered by the People: ICE Out of Our Communities” Week of Action from January 19-25! Join us in honoring the lives stolen by immigration enforcement and create welcoming spaces where our communities can heal, build, and dream together.
