Former Virginia Secretary of Education, Dr. Javaid Siddiqi, is the President and CEO of The Hunt Institute. Javaid leads The Hunt Institute leadership team and guides the strategic plan and vision for The Hunt Institute. Known nationally as a trusted thought partner who works across the aisle, Javaid works with senior-level elected officials to help design strategy, shape policy, and drive educational improvements on the national and state levels. Javaid first joined The Hunt Institute in January 2014, where he served as the Director of the Hunt-Kean Leadership Fellows Program, which partners with state leaders who have the knowledge, skill, and will to be effective, reform-minded education policymakers at the state level. Javaid was named President & CEO in October 2016.
