Good afternoon,
On behalf of Harry Fone, TPA grassroots campaign manager, I am delighted to invite you to an exclusive webinar with Barry Forde MBE, chief executive of Broadband for the Rural North (B4RN).
B4RN is an internet service provider in the North of England that supplies “the world’s fastest rural broadband”. What’s even more impressive is that it’s registered as a non-profit community benefit society, and run by a dedicated local team with the support of landowners and volunteers. Furthermore they didn’t need any help from the government or the taxpayer.
Boris Johnson once said he wanted “gigabit broadband sprouting in every home” by the end of 2025. With such a scheme set to cost taxpayers billions, Barry will discuss B4RN’s extraordinary work and what role, if any, the government has to play in high speed broadband.
Diary details:
Date: Wednesday 5th August
Time: 2pm (finish at 3pm)
