The Lincoln Project

Friend,

After Trump’s ICE “agents” killed a woman in Minneapolis, he responded by flooding the city with even more fake cops in masks.

Now, because this stupid plan is only causing more unrest and resulting in even more bad press for the worst administration of all time, Trump wants to take this to the next level:

Trump threatens Insurrection Act deployment to quell Minnesota
ICE protests

This wouldn’t be like sending in more out-of-shape white guys who wanted a $50,000 bonus, this would be sending in the U.S. Military to round up and arrest Americans.

In other words, this would be completely fascist, and completely insane.

Well, insane, but predictable for this “president.” He’s done this kind of thing before.

Just last year he sent the Marines into L.A. to silence protestors. And hell, it wasn’t the U.S. military, but he did send troops of his own to storm the Capitol and attempt to arrest the people who were certifying the 2020 election that was “stolen.”

It’s a common pattern for lackluster dictators with giant egos. When people disagree with them, they act like it’s a crime, and send in some kind of militia to beat, pepper spray, and silence their critics.

So, why is Trump threatening to send the military into Minneapolis? Because he’s a dictator.

This isn’t how America works. This isn’t who should be leading this country at a time like this. We can’t be compliant with what’s going on. We have to stand up, and resist.

The best way to make sure this dictator is shut down sooner rather than later? Taking down his party. Our chance to do that is coming up in a matter of months. Chip in so we can restore democracy >>
