John,
Yesterday I had the honor of being invited to attend Governor Kelly’s final State of the State address. We are so proud of Governor Kelly and all that she has accomplished for Kansas. At the conclusion of her address, I couldn’t help but also think this:
We must elect a Democratic Governor to follow her in 2026 and send a legislature to Topeka that will break the supermajority. We cannot afford to go back to Brownback's failed Republican tax experiments that devastated Kansans across the state.
Thinking back over the last few years, while Governor Kelly was reviving our state, the State Party was investing in the infrastructure of the party to support our county parties, candidates, and congressional districts across the state so they could focus on turning out voters and winning elections.
And that’s the way we’ll win in 2026 and keep a Democrat in the Governor’s office in 2027!
