Hi there,
Pennsylvania has an energy crisis — and families are paying the price. Pennsylvanians’ energy bills are too high and, so far, our lawmakers have failed to act to stop this increase.
We’re in this crisis because Pennsylvania has clung to coal and fracked gas – outdated, fossil fuels that are getting more expensive and less reliable by the day – and new data centers will place demand on our grid like we’ve never seen before.
It’s time to stop doubling down on the energy sources that got us into this disaster and chart a bold new path that delivers affordable energy for everyone.
That future is clean energy.
We’ve teamed up with our partners at PennFuture to put forward an Energy Affordability Agenda that directs our state leaders to solutions that will lower our energy bills and costs for local businesses:
**Relief for 2026**
* Protect families from losing power during extreme heat by banning summer utility shutoffs
* Modernize state energy programs so they support clean, affordable energy and long-term savings
**Market Rebalancing Over the Next 1 – 5 Years**
* Bring more affordable clean energy online faster
* Make big energy users like data centers pay their fair share and manage their own demand instead of shifting costs onto families and small businesses
**Long Term Structural Reform for Reliability and Affordability **
* Increase Pennsylvania’s renewable energy requirement to 35% by 2035 - from just 4%
* Expand battery storage with strong recycling safeguards to store energy affordably
Passing these priorities will be a huge step forward in addressing our out-of-control electric bills, but we want to hear from you. Do you endorse our Energy Affordability Agenda?

Fossil fuels won’t save us. This crisis is caused by our overreliance on fracked gas and years of giving in to the demands of oil and gas CEOs.
Pennsylvania’s outdated pro-fossil fuel policy is not only hitting people’s wallets. We’re also losing out on the next generation of energy infrastructure—from solar and storage to transmission—to neighboring states, even large fossil-fuel-producing states like Texas.
That’s why we’re releasing a new Energy Affordability Agenda. This clear, actionable plan will lower energy bills now, protect working families, and build a more affordable and reliable energy system for the future.
But we can’t do it alone.
We need leaders in Harrisburg to hear loudly that Pennsylvanians want action — not excuses and definitely not more of the same. Your endorsement sends a powerful message that people across the Commonwealth are demanding solutions that put affordability first.
Add your name to endorse our Energy Affordability Agenda today. [[link removed]]
It’s time to stop doubling down on the dirty fossil fuels that got us into this disaster and chart a bold new path that delivers affordable energy for everyone.
The time to act is now.
In solidarity,
