The 2026 Washington State Legislative Session is officially under way & Seattle DSA member & Washington State's 43rd LD Representative Shaun Scott has introduced the Well Washington Fund, a payroll excise tax that would in part be dedicated to overcoming Washington State's federal funding losses. If you want to get involved in efforts to help pass this bill you can check out the link below! There are several events in the coming weeks, and we need all of your support to get the Well Washington Fund across the finish line and save critical social service infrastructure, such as SNAP and Medicaid, by ensuring that big businesses pay their fair share!

Starbucks Workers United Strikes (Eastside) On Saturday 1/17 there will be flying picket lines! They will continue past 11:30am, but will move to different locations. Please show up as close to 10:30am as possible!
SBWU baristas have been out on unfair labor practice strike since November, in the longest strike in Starbucks history. Show up to show your support for the Eastside workers on the picket line!
If you are in Seattle, you can also join the University Way picket line on Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00-11:30am. |
