Dear John,
As you may know, California recently imposed a ridiculous ban on singing in church. Of course, nowhere in the Constitution do we find the power of government officials to tell people of faith whether or not they can lift their voices in worship.
Quite the opposite, the First Amendment is designed to protect church autonomy, and make sure the government doesn’t stick its nose in the church’s business—especially when it comes to worship.
But that certainly hasn’t stopped oppressive government officials in 2020. And it’s time for people of faith to take action.
Sean Feucht—Bethel Church worship leader, founder of multiple nonprofits and former congressional candidate—is doing just that. He has spearheaded a national movement of thousands of people of faith who are telling government officials: Let Us Worship!
We’re privileged to have Sean as our special guest on First Liberty Live! this Thursday, July 30.
We’ll be discussing how he is responding to these attacks by leading a worship movement, as government officials and social media giants are engaged in abuses of religious liberty, silencing the faithful, banning their voices and outright attacking their God-given right to declare His goodness.
Sean knows this discrimination firsthand, as he was recently censored by Twitter for simply posting videos of himself and others leading praise and worship in places experiencing violence, chaos and unrest.
You won’t want to miss Sean’s inspiring stories from the frontlines of the fight! Join host Stuart Shepard and myself as we welcome Sean Feucht to First Liberty Live! this upcoming Thursday!
Gratefully, Kelly
