One of the most effective lies ever sold to the American people is the idea of neutralitythe belief that faith can, and should, be separated from politics. We are told religion belongs in private life, behind closed doors, and safely removed from public policy, law, and leadership. We are assured this separation is necessary for fairness, tolerance, and peace. But neutrality is not real. It never has been. Every law is rooted in a moral belief. Every policy reflects a value system. Every government decision answers a question about right and wrong, justice and injustice, truth and error. The only real debate is not whether faith influences politics but whose faith, whose values, and whose worldview will rule the public square.
There is no such thing as a neutral society; only one that pretends not to worship while serving a different god.
