Trump bullies flip-flopping GOP senators into defeating their own bill to limit his war powers in Venezuela

Josh Hawley, Republican senator and, uh, famed author of "Manhood: The Masculine Virtues America Needs," just had his testicles metaphorically handed to him on a platter by a beleaguered, 79-year-old carnival barker who can't stop falling asleep on the job. One of five GOP senators who initially dared to challenge Donald Trump's imperial impunity to invade foreign nations without consulting Congress, Hawley — along with Indiana's Todd Young — caved to the MAGA cult leader yesterday and helped kill off a war powers resolution that would've required Trump to seek congressional authorization for further military action in Venezuela. Hawley and Young were two of five Republican senators who signed onto the resolution, but after Trump went full berzerk mode and threatened to thwart their future reelection prospects, the pair predictably folded. Wonder which chapter in "Manhood" discusses the virtues of submitting like a beaten dog...

Take Action: Demand Congress stop Trump's illegal war!

VIDEO OF THE DAY: Danish foreign minister calls out Trump's obsession with "conquering" Greenland after White House meeting

After a contentious White House meeting with America's wannabe dictator, Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen spoke to reporters and drew an unequivocal red line Donald Trump simply cannot cross without blowing up nearly a century of global order. "We didn’t manage to change the American position," Rasmussen said. "It’s clear that the president has this wish of conquering over Greenland." Rasmussen insisted that the United States must respect both Denmark and Greenland's "red lines" and said any attempt by Trump to take the island nation would be "totally unacceptable." Trump's imperial obsession with conquering foreign lands and reigning over the western hemisphere like some sort of king isn't just a problem on the international stage, mind you. It's also polling incredibly poorly here at home. Not exactly sure how spending hundreds of billions of dollars "buying" another country and hundreds of billions more bribing its citizens to go along with the deal puts "America First?" You aren't alone.

DHS used neo-Nazi anthem for recruitment after fatal Minneapolis ICE shooting
Less than two days after ICE agent Jonathan Ross fatally shot Renee Good — multiple times, in the face, at point-blank range — in Minneapolis, the Department of Homeland Security’s official Instagram account made a recruitment post proclaiming "We'll Have Our Home Again," attaching a song of the same name by Pine Tree Riots. Popularized in neo-Nazi spaces, the track features lyrics about reclaiming "our home" by "blood or sweat," language often used in white nationalist calls for race war. Cool. Folks, they've ditched the dog whistles in favor of bullhorns and kettle drums at this point.

Take Action: Tell Congress: It's time to defund ICE!

Trump regime indefinitely suspends immigrant visa processing from 75 countries, including many US allies
The MAGA cult leader's newest visa ban targets people whom the administration believes "may rely on government benefits for basic needs," (i.e. people incapable of making a sizeable donation to the Trump Ballroom or purchasing copious amounts of worthless TrumpCoin). Twenty-one of those countries have currently qualified for the World Cup, which the United States is somehow still expected to co-host later this year. Sorry, world, America is now wearing its Klan hood in public for the foreseeable future.

Take Action: Take action to protect our Social Security offices!

Ted Cruz warns Trump might "nuke Denmark" if he becomes president in resurfaced clip

2026 Ted Cruz might wanna check in with 2016 Ted Cruz for a little heart to heart. Seems like that sanctimonious, baby-faced fella from a decade ago just might've been onto something.

House Republicans rip their "dumb and unbelievably reckless" leadership: "They didn’t even whip the fucking bill"
The malevolent dipshits in charge of the GOP caucus stepped on the proverbial rake once again this week as one major bill failed to pass after they didn't bothering whipping votes for it and three more had to be pulled due to uncertain vote numbers. We're very lucky they didn't, because one of the bills would have allowed employers to deny overtime pay to people in voluntary training programs — just a needless middle finger to workers on behalf of Big Business™. Rep. Jeff Van Drew of New Jersey, who voted against the bill, said no one in leadership even asked him his views about it. "Our majority is so tight — it’s a problem," Van Drew said. "They should have whipped it, No. 1. And then secondly, my bad. I should have let them know, even if it was only a half-hour before." Speaker Johnson is operating on a one-vote majority right now with the abrupt death of Doug LaMalfa and the resignation of Marjorie Taylor Greene. Republicans, perpetually in disarray!

Trump is reportedly funneling money from Venezuelan oil sales to a bank account in Qatar
In news surely no one could possibly have seen coming, Donald Trump is now funneling proceeds from the sale of seized Venezuelan oil to a bank account in — wouldn't you know it — Qatar, according to Semafor. The Trump regime's first sale of Venezuelan oil was valued at $500 million, and that money is reportedly being held in multiple bank accounts, the biggest of which is in Qatar. A Trump official laughably described Qatar as a neutral location where money can flow freely with US approval and without risk of seizure. Risk of seizure by whom, you might be wondering? Great question! "There is no basis in law for a president to set up an offshore account that he controls so that he can sell assets seized by the American military,” Sen. Elizabeth Warren, the ranking member of the Senate Finance Committee, told Semafor. "That is precisely a move that a corrupt politician would be attracted to." Correct! Friendly reminder that Qatar "gifted" Donald a $400 MILLION luxury jet last year, right around the time Trump's family business secured a deal to build a luxury golf resort in the petrol state. Any questions?

GoFundMe donations for suspended Ford worker who heckled Trump soar past $800,000
Well, well, well. It seems two can play at this virtue-signaling game! We'll see MAGA's breathless rush to financially reward a pathetic, racist, ex-Cinnabon employee's "right" to scream the n-word at random customers in public and raise them a giant pile of cash for one heroic, union-proud heckler unceremoniously suspended from his job at Ford for (correctly!) pointing out that the president of the United States is a "pedophile protector." As of last evening, two GoFundMe campaigns for TJ Sabula had raised a staggering $810,765. Sabula was suspended from his factory job at Ford for heckling Donald Trump during the wannabe dictator's vist to the automaker's Dearborn plant on Tuesday. Trump was caught on camera during the incident repeatedly mouthing "fuck you" while giving Sabula the bird. For a man who has built his entire brand on dishing it, Donald sure as shit cannot take it. In an update on one of the pages last night, a person who identified himself as Sabula wrote, "We greatly appreciate the outpouring of support! At this time we are closing donations to this campaign and encourage you to look for other causes and organizations to support. We appreciate every single donation, comment, share, and sign of support!" A similar message was posted on the second fundraising page as well. Have a nice meal on us, TJ. You've earned it!

Elon Musk's AI chatbot Grok blocked from undressing images of real people — in places where it's illegal
According to a statement posted on nüTwitter, Elon Musk’s AI chatbot Grok will apparently no longer be allowed to edit photos of real people to create sexually explicit or revealing images — with a catch. While the world's most famous ketamine enthusiast has vociferously defended Grok's "spicy mode" and laughably compared its output to the kind of content "seen in R-rated movies," the company's army of handsomely paid lawyers have seemingly come up with a nauseating legal solution meant to cover Grok's ass while protecting X's almighty bottom line. Musk's chatbot has faced understandable global backlash over sexualized images of women and children, including bans and warnings by numerous governments. Initially dismissing the claims as nothing more than "legacy media lies," xAI kinda sorta relented on Wednesday, announcing it will geoblock content — if it violates laws in a particular place. Why do the right thing when a barely legal option is on the table, right?
