Tell Congress:
"People throughout our country won’t be safe if they can’t enforce their rights. We must prioritize human life, not shield corporations from responsibility. Please oppose corporate immunity for businesses that don’t protect their employees or customers from COVID-19."

John,
With tens of millions jobless, we are facing Great Depression-level unemployment and families throughout our country are struggling to make ends meet. COVID-19 is on track to kill 150,000 Americans and more than 4 million people throughout the U.S. have already been documented as confirmed COVID cases.
But what is Mitch McConnell doing? He isn't focused on helping people who are having trouble paying their bills and feeding their families. He isn't fighting for legislation that puts forward a science-based plan for testing and contact tracing of the coronavirus. Instead, he is dead set on shielding negligent corporations who may have exposed people to COVID-19.
Under McConnell’s plan, companies that fail to provide masks and gloves to employees, don't enforce social distancing, or recklessly expose customers to COVID-19 could be let off the hook. That is unacceptable.
Together, let's demand Congress reject Mitch McConnell’s plan that shields negligent businesses—which McConnell is expected to include in the Senate’s final COVID-19 aid package early next week.
As more and more people prepare to return to work, Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans are demanding corporate immunity for companies that may be exposing workers and customers to the virus; this legislation would mean companies could not be sued if people get sick on the job.
Join CHN and our national coalition to demand Congress hold irresponsible employers accountable if they cause COVID-19 outbreaks. Add your name! Tell your Senators to reject prioritizing the needs of corporate America over vulnerable people throughout our country.
Thank you for all you do to fight for struggling families, the poor and the vulnerable during this challenging time.
