Dear Friends,

I’m excited to invite you to Israel at a Crossroads: A Conversation on Security & Peace at Temple Sinai on Wednesday, January 21 at 7pm. Maj. Gen. Sheffer has dedicated over 45 years to the security of Israel, rising to Deputy Commander of the Air Force and later becoming the Head of the Planning Directorate of the IDF’s General Staff. Beyond his military career, he has been a champion of social justice, fostering opportunities for Bedouin communities in the Negev. He’s now bringing this comprehensive experience to Israel's new Democrats Party.

In this exclusive in-person event, Maj. Gen. Sheffer will engage in a compelling dialogue with Natan Guttman, Washington correspondent for Kan public television and columnist for Moment Magazine. They’ll delve into Israel's security challenges, the necessity of a two-state solution and strategies to strengthen democracy and peace in the region.

I’m excited to hear from one of Israel’s most respected leaders and to explore how we can collectively work towards a just and secure future for both Israelis and Palestinians. I hope to see you there!
