Healthcare for all really shouldn’t be a radical or polarizing idea.

The fact that so many in America still think it is acceptable to let our citizens struggle to afford basic care, and often go bankrupt, suffer, or even die without the medical attention they need, is a sign of how toxic our political conversation has become.

Kathy has worked hard to make sure that she does not contribute to the noise of politics that ruins so many people’s faith in the system. When she says we should demand universal healthcare, she means universal—everyone. Without exception. And she sees no reason to use lack of healthcare access as a political football or to score cheap points with “the electorate.” Limited access to healthcare isn’t a talking point in Missouri’s 8th District—it’s a harsh reality as rural hospitals continue to close their doors. Kathy is in this fight for her neighbors, because their suffering is stupid, pointless, and so easily preventable.

Our campaign has been endorsed by Demand Universal Healthcare (DUH), and it really is a no-brainer that we need to do so.
