It’s hurricane season for our friends on the East Coast, and over the weekend Donald Trump gave us one more reason to be grateful that a major storm system hasn’t made landfall yet this summer. That’s because sources say that Trump “has suggested multiple times to senior Homeland Security officials that they explore using nuclear bombs to stop hurricanes from hitting the United States.”

Today would be a really good day to show your support for legislation I wrote with Senator Ed Markey that prevents the President from launching a nuclear first strike without congressional approval.
