Young Americans Are Unplugging, And It’s Making Them Happier

I think it’s just their way of rebelling against their parents. Their parents have cell phones, so they want to have the lime green phone on the wall with the 20 foot cord

Should cell phones be banned from classrooms? Michigan House votes yes

There are definitely situations where it would be helpful to have cell phones around, but I want them banned mostly because I didn’t have access to that kind of entertainment when I was in school so why should those darned kids today?

Also Worth A Look…

  • Inactive people can reduce risk of death by 30% with five minutes of exercise a day - I’m very amused by how they decided to word that headline. We all have a 100% risk of death. Until someone comes up with a way to put our brains in robot bodies or something

  • Just one in five Americans support Trump’s efforts to acquire Greenland, Reuters/Ipsos poll finds - It’s even lower when people are asked about using military force to take Greenland. Maybe President Trump should find a new hyperfixation

  • Enthusiasts Used Their Home Computers to Search for ET—Scientists Are Homing in on 100 Signals They Found - I, for one, welcome our new alien overlords

  • Krispy Kreme offering free doughnuts on Wednesday because of Verizon outage - Obviously it’s a little late when you’re reading or listening to this, but I’ll take it. Feel free to shut down anything else too if I’ll get free doughnuts the next day

  • Saudi Arabia’s ‘oldest man’ dies at the dubious age of 142 - Some people are questioning whether or not he was really 142 years old, but he did produce film footage of him driving with his turn signal on for 20 miles back in 1968, so that would suggest his age checks out

  • NJ condo busts residents who fail to pick up dog poop by testing it for DNA - Good for them. We’re trying to have a civilization here

  • Florida Deputies Help Rescue Trapped Shark - Alex Kitner’s mom is headed down to Florida to do some slapping

  • Florida paraglider walks away unharmed after terrifying 500-foot plunge into ocean - Since he fell into the ocean, it seems more likely that he swam away rather than walking. But it’s nevertheless impressive

  • T. Rex Took 4 Decades to Reach Full Giant Size - Life truly began at 40 for them. Their arms just never quite caught up though

  • Police: Stranger knocks late at night, asks resident to make him a pizza - Who amongst us hasn’t been hit by a late night craving for a pepperoni pizza?
