Over three years ago, President Trump initiated a Muslim ban targeting immigrants from seven predominantly Muslim countries based on their religion or religious heritage. In February, Trump expanded upon the ban to include six additional countries, four of which are African countries, bringing the total to 13 banned countries.
Thankfully just this week, and with a bipartisan vote, the U.S. House passed the NO BAN Act which would put an end to the racist and xenophobic policy from the Trump Administration. Now, the bill heads to the Senate where we need to put pressure on Mitch McConnell to give the bill a vote on the floor.

The Muslim and African bans have had a devastating impact on everyday Americans. They cruelly separate tens of thousands of American families, fuel anti-Muslim and racist violence, hurt our economy, and violate our country’s core principles of religious freedom and equal treatment under the law.
The NO BAN Act is a strong response to Trump’s Muslim and African bans that would not only stop the current bans but ensure no one can be banned from our country based on religious or nationality-based discrimination ever again. The bill would outlaw future discrimination in the entry of noncitizens and would repeal the asylum ban and extreme restrictions currently in place to prevent refugees from entering the country. The bill also puts accountability and due process safeguards in place.
Congress has the power to stop these injustices once and for all.
Help propel this bill across the finish line in Congress by demanding that the Senate pass it.
