The Missouri Constitution gives voters the power to veto acts of the legislature — and more than 300,000 citizens have signed petitions to put the unfair map on the ballot. Now, map manipulators and Trump allies are pouring millions of dollars into a campaign to defeat it and silence the will of the people.

Republican officials in Missouri have already tried to make it harder for this citizen-led initiative to get off the ground by arbitrarily refusing to count legally collected signatures. And they’re certain to keep throwing hurdles at the fair maps movement.
At every turn, though, voters are responding with outrage and action. Missourians have protested, flooded the governor’s inbox, and pressed for this referendum to prevent Republicans from rigging the election.
