Let me start by saying thank you. Our record-breaking fundraising to close out last year and our statewide endorsements reflect growing momentum for our campaign and for our vision for the future, and I couldn’t have done it without your support.
I’m incredibly proud that this campaign has received contributions from all 16 counties and nearly 300 towns across Maine. From rural communities to our largest cities, Mainers from every corner of the state are stepping up because they believe in what we’re building together.
But we can’t slow down now, John. It’s officially election year, and we can’t put our foot on the brake.
The Trump administration is mounting a full-scale attack on the values Maine holds dear — our health care systems and food programs, public education funding, and environmental protection. We've watched with horror what's happening in Minnesota and we are bracing for increased ICE activity here in Maine.
I've stood up to bullies and tough issues since I was a young legislator - beating the chemical industry and the insurance companies, to protect Maine people. I'm ready to stand up to this President and fight for the people of Maine. In this time of federal chaos, our people are struggling. They want someone who can stand up for them, but they also want someone who can find solutions to the challenges we face - from housing affordability to health coverage. I'm ready to deliver for Maine people.
The progress we’ve made so far proves what’s possible when we come together. Now, we have to keep building, keep organizing, and keep pushing forward, because the future of Maine is worth fighting for.
