During this engaging panel, Yvette discussed extensively the importance of voting, calling on young people to step up and use the power of voting for good. She also remembered John Lewis’s appreciation for the sacred right to vote. Later, she discussed why she chose a career in politics. Her answer? It’s about service, paying it forward, and giving opportunities to the next generation. She went on to discuss how she’s paying it forward with her newest initiative: a Task Force on racial disparities including environmental injustice, discrimination in healthcare, and more.
