We have officially entered the election year, and the road to taking back the House runs straight through Wisconsin.
As I look at the year ahead, I am reminded of why I got into this fight in the first place.
I didn't run for Congress for the title. I ran because I remember what it was like to be the eighth of nine children in a working-class home in Milwaukee. I ran because I remember being a single mother relying on welfare to keep my family afloat. I know what it feels like when the system is rigged against you, and I know that for too many families in Wisconsin, that system is still broken.
This year, my goals are simple:
We must continue tackling the affordability crisis, cap prescription drug prices, and crack down on corporate price gouging.
We must protect Social Security, Medicare, and the ACA from a Republican majority gutting them at every chance.
We must fight to codify reproductive freedom and protect the right to vote.
But here is the hard truth, John: We cannot achieve any of this if Republicans continue to hold both chambers of Congress.
That is why today, I am launching the 2026 Take Back the House Fund. This fund is dedicated to ensuring we have the resources not just to hold this seat, but to support Democrats up and down the ballot across Wisconsin and flip the House blue this year.
