Today, the Senate Committee on Health, Labor, and Pensions held a hearing on medication abortion. Why? They want the Trump administration to ban it.

It was sickening to watch. Anti-abortion politicians and their witnesses lined up to lie and distort, because lies and distortions are all they’ve got to work with. Just earlier this week, a review showed that “FDA oversight of mifepristone … has been shaped by scientific evidence.” [1]

Here’s the truth: Medication abortion was approved by the FDA because it’s safe and effective. Donate now to fight the lies.

Banning medication abortion is not popular. Trump knows this. But anti-abortion leaders and groups won’t shut up. Trump wants it both ways. A new “review” of mifepristone is proposed to take place under the direction of a Trump FDA. But, it has been delayed until after the midterm elections. [2]

We have got to be so vigilant! Give today to hold Trump’s feet to the fire, and say: NO ABORTION BAN. Not now, and not after the midterms.

It’s going to take all of us to stop the organized anti-abortion lobby, but we can do it. And we must.
