Tulsi’s never been afraid to stand up to the establishment in either party. In fact, some of the harshest criticism she’s received has come from within her own party. 

She has called for the Democratic Party to be the party of the people and the party of peace but, as one commentator noted, she’s been “dismissed and otherized by a media that seems unable to grapple with a servicewoman who dares to criticize the bipartisan war consensus.”

The media may not understand her, but the people do. Despite attempts by the media and political elite to foment divisiveness, there is a cause that can bring us together - a desire for a government that is truly of, by and for the people. 

In Tulsi’s words, “There is nothing more powerful than when we the people rise up, united by our love for this country and for each other, to bring about the kind of change in leadership that we need.”
