John,
Right now, it feels like we're living in a country that has lost its way.
We're talking about invading another country for oil, like we didn't already learn that lesson. Like we didn't bury our sons and daughters. Like we didn't blow apart entire regions and then act in shock when things got worse.
Meanwhile, all across this country and right here in South Texas, people are hurting.
Groceries are still too expensive.
Healthcare costs keep going up.
Rent is still high.
Construction sites are shutting down because workers are scared to show up.
Small businesses are hurting.
Families are trying to do everything right, but this country is leaving them behind. And what has happened is very simple. We were lied to.
Nos echaron mentiras.
They told us they were going to lower grocery prices. That didn't happen.
They told us they were going to make life more affordable. That didn't happen.
They said no new wars. That's not happening.
Puras mentiras.
Instead of real solutions, we get speeches. Instead of relief, we get excuses. And they keep telling us everything is fine. YOU know it isn’t.
South Texas deserves leadership that tells the truth, shows up, and actually fights for working families. But the reality is, this is one of the most competitive districts in the country, and the people who benefit from these lies are going to spend big to protect it.
If you’re able, I’m humbly asking you to chip in $5, $10, or whatever you can today to help us take on the lies, stand up for our community, and build something better for South Texas.
