As Governor Hogan discusses in his book Still Standing, he has emphasized the importance of listening to the experts from the beginning of this crisis. This week, he penned an op-ed in USA Today [link removed] defending Dr. Anthony Fauci from the political attacks that have been launched against him, joined former FDA Commissioner Dr. Scott Gottlieb for an American Enterprise Institute (AEI) event to discuss how Maryland is confronting the pandemic and what we can do to better prepare for its continued risks, and outlined a safe path for reopening Maryland's schools as he continues to lead the fight for urgent aid to states​​.

"Governor Hogan held a press conference with Maryland’s State Superintendent to announce guardrails for reopening schools safely and to continue to stress vigilance during this pandemic.

Meanwhile, as chair of the nation’s governors, Governor Hogan is continuing to lead the fight for federal aid to the states, releasing a bipartisan statement with Governor Cuomo yesterday urging the 'Senate's strong support now' for $500 billion state stabilization funding to protect the economic recovery and 'the critical services Americans depend on including public safety, education, healthcare, food assistance, local aid and transportation.”
