We hope this newsletter finds you well grounded and resilient in these times of great uncertainty and ever-swirling, compounding madness.

We have stepped into 2026 with powerful momentum gathered around a warm, strong fire, focused on the difference we make together through our work. This shared commitment fosters ripples of inclusive economic growth, equity, climate resiliency and solutions, social impact, and social justice. We're building a bigger fire for more to gather around. Your engagement and passion let us grow and invite like-minded entrepreneurs. That shared vision makes this community vibrant and special. This year, we aim to quadruple membership and build circles that level each other up.

SVN is a membership organization for individuals, not companies. Our core value is peer community and belonging: access to a curated network of badass change-makers, peer business leaders at similar stages with shared values, and a safe, supportive space for authentic connections in a vetted, values-aligned group.

Looking ahead, we're actively expanding more peer circles and enhancing our communication strategy across platforms in the upcoming months. Our major focus right now? Planning our in-person retreat most likely in early June 2026 with announcements coming very soon. This retreat has some fun and truly amazing experiences planned. We're genuinely excited about what we're creating, and if we're this energized about it, we know you will be too! 🎉

🧐 Minding the Gap: Improving Complex Trauma Survivors'

Experiences in Healthcare

Malachi Gillihan, The Octave Center for Trauma Healing & Research co-authored a new peer-reviewed paper being published, addressing the gap in awareness of complex trauma among health providers, and highlighting adverse experiences for survivors as they navigate the healthcare system. This paper spotlights this gap, and introduces a new training protocol for healthcare providers to increase access to Trauma-Informed Care. Link will be posted soon!
