Folks, I’m going to be honest with you: this is a fundraising email. Look, I hate sending these messages, and I know they’re probably not that exciting to receive. I’d much rather be talking to you face-to-face about the work we’re doing for our state.

But the truth is, these messages can make or break the success of our campaign here in Colorado. Allow me to explain:

I’m 100% dedicated to serving you and your family in the Senate — not corporate interests. That’s why we were one of the first campaigns for federal office to take a pledge to reject all corporate PAC money, and we’re proud to say we’ve honored that commitment.

That also means our campaign is only possible with the support of generous people like you, who chip in what you can when you can to defend this seat and keep up our fight for hardworking Coloradans in the Senate. And a lot of those donations come from emails just like this one.

That’s why I’m writing this. Our team’s working hard to reach our first mid-month fundraising goal of the election year before our deadline tomorrow, and we’re relying on this grassroots team to help us get there.

So I’m humbly asking: Will you pitch in before our mid-month deadline expires to help our team start the election year off strong and keep Colorado blue? We can’t win this race without you by our side, so we’d really appreciate your support.
