The Trump Administration is using COVID-19 as an excuse to continue separating families seeking asylum at the border.
We must demand an end to this cruel practice immediately.

Friend,
Due to recent COVID-19 outbreaks in ICE family detention centers, a federal judge has ordered that three such facilities in Texas and Pennsylvania must release all children who have been held there for more than 20 days. The deadline for the release of these children has now been extended to July 27. We have until Monday to demand these children are not separated from their parents. No excuses.
This ruling recognizes the inhumane and grave conditions that children in ICE detention are exposed to, yet it doesn’t guarantee that children can stay with their parents. We know that ICE is giving parents held in those same facilities an impossible choice: either separate from their children or have them remain in detention indefinitely.
The clock is ticking, will you take urgent action today to make sure not one more family is torn apart by these cruel policies?
Sign our petition NOW to demand the Trump Administration stop exploiting COVID-19 and end family separation immediately.

In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Trump Administration has made its priorities clear:
Deporting children as young as 10 without telling them where they are going or ensuring they have someone to take care of them when they get there,
Claiming that children who were living in the U.S. pre-pandemic seeking asylum are “health threats” and deporting them, and
Using COVID-19 as an excuse to force family separations or indefinite detention in Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facilities.
Again and again, these actions to separate families have been overwhelmingly rejected by the vast majority of Americans and yet this cruelty continues. The millions of us who stand with immigrants and against the President’s anti-immigrant agenda must speak out loudly and urgently.
We cannot allow this to continue happening. Take action: sign your name now to hold the Administration accountable, restore the asylum system, and end family separation in 2020.
