At the end of November, I visited the newly constructed Lynnwood Neighborhood Center.

I like to be involved with projects that help build the communities that I get to serve, and getting the $3 million earmark in 2023 for Volunteers of America of Western Washington was a project that my whole staff enjoyed working on.
My priority in shaping future spending bills is to invest in our local communities to create jobs, keep the economy moving, and improve vital services residents rely on.
Last week, I had the opportunity to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the brand new Lynnwood Neighborhood Center.

To be able to see the center now open and ready to serve 20,000 community members every year, and to be a part of making it happen, was really gratifying.
I will continue to champion critical projects like the Lynnwood Neighborhood Center to ensure families in Northwest Washington have access to critical services in our local communities.
More soon,
Rick
