I am not running to follow the consultant playbook. I am running to take on the fights most politicians are too careful, too cautious, or too compromised to touch.
Our politics are broken because too many of our leaders calculate instead of lead. They poll. They hedge. They hide. And everyone in this country can feel it. We feel it in our bones. And just like you, I am sick of it.
Something is deeply wrong. And I am not afraid to say it out loud. I am willing to confront it. And I am willing to lay out exactly how I will fight to bring this country back to sanity, decency, and the rule of law.
During this campaign:
- When masked neo-Nazis disrupted a rally where I was speaking, I did not retreat. I stood my ground alongside advocates who refused to be intimidated. And I didn’t just denounce it. I introduced a policy proposal to crack down on cowards who hide behind masks to commit hate crimes.
- When Donald Trump ordered the invasion of a sovereign country and the abduction of its leader without authorization from Congress, I spoke out clearly and forcefully. I took heat for it, including from people in my own party. And I did it anyway. I laid out how Congress must reassert its war powers and end the blank check for illegal, unilateral military action.
- And when ICE has been transformed into a militarized force that is systematically violating the Constitution, the law, and basic human rights, I did not use euphemisms. I called for ICE to be dismantled. I called for those responsible to be held accountable. And I called for the impeachment of Kristi Noem.
This is what leadership looks like. Not comfort. Not caution. Not silence. But standing up, naming the truth, and fighting back.
