I am so proud to have grown up in the most diverse state in the nation — from cultural and economic backgrounds to political and religious beliefs. We still have a great deal of progress to make in ensuring that diversity is represented at the highest level.

That's why, from day one, this has been an issues-focused campaign with an emphasis on meaningful policies to improve lives in our state. This campaign is about listening to your stories and identifying the tangible actions I can take on day one when I’m elected as governor.

And it's why I'm incredibly honored to have the support of the AAPI Victory Fund.

For years, the AAPI Victory Fund has tirelessly worked to increase visibility and representation in government, and to enact policies that benefit the most people from the most backgrounds possible -- not just those with six zeros at the end of their bank account.

This endorsement serves as a reminder that for all of California’s victories, too many groups are still being left behind under our last several administrations.

Too often in California, we haven’t had voices in the decision-making rooms with lived experience to offer the “extra” to the plans to make them work.
