Prosperity Now, in collaboration with the Wells Fargo Foundation, is pleased to announce the launch of the 2026 Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Support Fund Request for Proposals (RFP). 

This year, $200,000 in grants will be awarded to support IRS-certified VITA programs and organizations that directly support VITA operations in providing no-cost basic tax return preparation nationwide. Funding is intended to support staffing, volunteer coordination, outreach, and service delivery during the 2026 filing season. 

During the most recent VITA Support Fund cycle, participating organizations prepared more than 20,000 tax returns and helped households receive an estimated $25 million in refunds and refundable tax credits.
