Happy New Year!

Happy New Year from all of us at Mother’s Refuge! As we step into a new year, we’re grateful for you—our community that makes hope, healing, and new beginnings possible for the young moms and babies we serve.

Because of your support, young mothers are finding stability, encouragement, and a place to truly call home as they build brighter futures for themselves and their children.

Resident Updates

Our Maternity Home has been extra full of joy this season! We welcomed three new babies just before Christmas, filling Mother’s Refuge with even more love and celebration.

We also recently welcomed a new mom and her 9-month-old daughter into our Transitional Living Program. She is attending school to take her HiSET exam, works part-time as a caregiver, and has a long-term goal of becoming a nurse. We’re honored to support her as she builds a bright future for herself and her little one.

Volunteer Updates

We are incredibly grateful for our volunteers who give their time, talents, and hearts to Mother’s Refuge. As we step into the new year, we are revamping our volunteer teams and building dedicated teams to better support our program and the families we serve.

We’re so excited for what this new year will bring—for our mission, our program, and our volunteers—and we can’t wait to grow together in the months ahead.

Higher Ground Update

We are getting closer and closer to reaching our goal—and while we have had a few setbacks, your continued support is making real progress possible. Renovating a historic building has come with its challenges, but construction is now in full swing.

As part of this campaign, our Wall of Hope continues to grow—each tile represents a light of encouragement and belief in the young moms and babies we serve. We’re excited to keep sharing progress and are hopeful to move into the building later this year.

Every gift and every tile brings us one step closer to opening doors and expanding hope.
