John,
Twenty-eight million kids don't have a park within a
10-minute walk of their home. I need you to help us fix this
inequity.

At The Trust for Public Land, we believe that every child -
no matter who they are or where they live - should have a
quality park or other green area near home. Here's just one
example of what we're doing to make things right.
Dundee Island Park in Passaic, New Jersey, had become terribly run
down and pretty much abandoned. We sat down with neighbors and asked
them what they wanted. Working together, we came up with a design that
includes a youth soccer field, a multi-age playground, a water play
spray area, community garden, adult fitness area, great lawn,
amphitheater, boat launch, and a river walk.
The opening of the new Dundee Island Park is slated to open to the
public for social distance use this fall. It won't be too much
longer before the residents and children of East Passaic have a
beautiful park close to home.
John, our members make our work possible. We're grateful for their
help in creating the new Dundee Island Park. But we're going to
continue building parks like this in neighborhoods all across the
country, so I need to ask you to help them out, to join them, to
become a member of The Trust for Public Land.
Your membership gift to The Trust for Public Land is needed to
fuel our mission to build parks and protect land for people to enjoy.
Please help us make a real difference for the 28 million children who
are still waiting for a close to home park.
