Across the UK, Ocean Activists are getting ready to walk, run or jog 47 miles in Feb to raise funds to end sewage pollution.

The 47 miles represent the 4.7 million hours of sewage poured into our waterways in 2024. 🤬 But with the Water Reform Bill coming this year, we have a big opportunity to fix this broken system. Every penny raised will help us fight for a Bill that puts people and planet before profit.

Will you join the movement, John? ✊

Imagine how ✨amazing✨ you'll feel for getting outside, moving your body and helping protect the wild waters you love.

There’s only a couple of weeks 'til kick off! 🚀 Sign up today to get your free T-shirt as a thank you for your fundraising efforts.

Freya surfing

I'm sick of surfing in sh*t!

"I'm a surfer, not a runner. But I'm running 47 miles in Feb to get me outside and active in between swells and boost my mental health. Also, I'm sick of surfing in sh*t! Water-users, wildlife and the ocean deserve better. Every mile I run will help achieve that - raising funds to go up against the polluters and protect the ocean from toxic sewage pollution."

Sam and her family

It's a fun challenge that unites us

"It's great to have a fun family challenge that unites us in a common goal to protect our seas. It's so horrifying that so much sewage is pumped in to our seas and rivers and we want to do our bit to help. Plus, we can all get fitter and faster, not that we will be competitive about it!"

To protect our seas for future generations

"I'm doing Run 47 to combine my love for running with a commitment to protecting our oceans. I want to raise awareness and show the impact profiteering polluters are having on our seas and rivers. I hope this will inspire others to get involved and help protect our coastline for future generations."

For winter motivation

"Getting outside and being active keeps me motivated in the tough winter months. It’s even better knowing I can use these miles to protect the coastline I love. With major water legislation coming to Parliament this year, I want to do everything I can to put pressure on decision-makers so we can end this sh*t show, once and for all."

Chani out running

To benefit my local community

"Run 47 will be so much fun! I did Dip a Day and I’m hoping to run by the coast to witness the seas that need protecting. 4.7 million hours of pumping sewage is disgusting. The solutions are there, the money is there and we have the power to affect legislation being written so I know my efforts will directly benefit my community and our seas."
