Today, we’re sharing an update on PPI’s next New Directions convening, taking place February 6–7, 2026 in Lansing, Michigan, and inviting you to register to attend as the program continues to take shape.
In addition to Governor Gretchen Whitmer, we’re pleased to confirm that Representatives Hillary Scholten and Kristen McDonald Rivet will join us in Lansing. We expect to announce several additional elected leaders soon.
PPI launched New Directions last year with convenings in Colorado and Nevada, bringing together rising political leaders outside of Washington for strategic dialogue focused on strengthening economic opportunity and reconnecting with working Americans. This convening will continue these conversations with elected officials, policy experts, and emerging leaders from across the country.
The program will feature substantive discussions on affordability, workforce development, education, energy, and cultural issues shaping public trust. It will begin with a welcome dinner on Friday evening at 6:00 pm and will conclude Saturday afternoon by 4:00 pm.
A full program and additional details will be shared with confirmed attendees in the coming weeks.
