I wish this wasn’t true, but it is.
Bayer, the foreign corporation that bought Monsanto, is trying to take away your ability to sue them if you get cancer after using Roundup weed killer.
Juries across the country have already found that Roundup caused non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and that people were never properly warned. 
Instead of taking accountability, Bayer is now running to the U.S. Supreme Court in hopes of shutting down thousands of Roundup cancer cases. 
The Court is expected to decide whether it will take the case this upcoming Friday.
Bayer is arguing that because a federal agency approved Roundup, they should never be held accountable—no matter what they hid, no matter who got sick, no matter what a jury decided. 
This should make every American furious. 
This case is about whether a giant corporation can poison people, get caught, lose in front of juries…and then ask the Supreme Court to wipe out future cases like these.
If that isn’t outrageous enough – there is more. 
Some of the most influential “science” used to defend this product was ghostwritten by the company itself, not independent researchers.
In November 2025, a major scientific journal formally retracted one of the most influential studies ever used to claim glyphosate was safe. 
Monsanto’s own internal documents showed the company secretly wrote the paper and paid outside scientists to sign their names to it.
That fraudulent study was cited more than 800 times, including by the EPA, and shaped regulatory decisions for decades.
State bills based on this same legal theory are already moving in multiple states, and the pesticide lobby is trying to push it into the farm bill. They want to lock this kind of immunity into law everywhere.
If the Supreme Court agrees with Bayer, this doesn’t just affect pesticides. 
It sets a precedent that companies that make our food, our drugs, and our chemicals could lie, cause harm, and still walk away—because regulators signed off years ago.
Juries wouldn’t matter. State laws wouldn’t matter. Families harmed wouldn’t matter. 
Corporations would get a free pass, and states would lose their right to protect their own people. 
This case decides whether justice belongs to the people—or to corporations with the best lawyers. 
Pay attention. This affects all of us.
I’ll be watching what the Supreme Court does next and what happens in the states.
