Dr. Hijab will discuss the hopes and challenges facing the Syrian Revolution in 2020, including the current state of the diplomatic process, the impact of the Caesar Act on the Assad regime, and the future of American advocacy for a Free Syria.

Prior to his defection from the Assad regime, Dr. Riad served in various governmental positions from 1998 to 2011, before being named Prime Minister in June, 2012. After joining the Syrian Opposition, Riad served as the head of the Higher Negotiations Committee from 2015 to 2017. He remains a powerful and respected voice for justice and democracy in Syria.

This Arabic-language webinar is open to all members of the Syrian American community and to all friends of a free and democratic Syria. The discussion will be moderated by Americans for a Free Syria President Ismael Basha and Ambassador Bassam Barabandi.
