Dear John,
The Feminist Majority’s Campus Mobilization model helped deliver huge victories in the 2025 elections in Virginia and Pennsylvania. On the 30 college campuses across both states where our student teams organized in dorms, in student unions, at campus quads and campus polling locations, voter turnout among young people – especially young women – hit record levels.
In Virginia, an extraordinary 82% of young women voted to elect the state’s first woman governor, Abigail Spanberger – an avid supporter of the Equal Rights Amendment. And their votes helped flip 13 seats in the state’s House of Delegates to a secure a 64-36 Democratic majority. Voters in Pennsylvania assured the retention of 3 of that state’s Supreme Court Justices – all strongly in support of reproductive rights and the state’s ERA.
This was movement building. And now, we must do it again for the critical 2026 mid-term elections that will determine the control of the U.S. Congress.
The difference between success and missed opportunity isn’t enthusiasm. It’s whether student organizers and campaign plans are in place before the election cycle accelerates. That’s why right now, Feminist Majority organizers are identifying scores of priority campuses in swing House districts and recruiting student leaders and activists. Field plans for mobilizing massive Get Out the Vote campus campaigns are being built.
Control of Congress will be decided in some of the states and districts we just organized – and in many others like them. Your support keeps our organizers on campus, building toward 2026 without interruption.
