Federal lawmakers who write and vote on national voting rights legislation, oversee election security funding, and confirm judges who rule on election law.
- Secretary of State
The state’s chief elections officer is responsible for overseeing voter registration, ballot access, certification, and recounts.
- County Recorder & County Supervisor
Local officials who run elections on the ground by managing voter rolls, ballots, polling places, tabulation, and certification at the county level.
- State House & State Senate
State lawmakers who pass election laws, draw district maps, fund election administration, and set the legal framework governing voting access.
As we look ahead to 2026, our country is facing threats to disenfranchise our voices in every direction — from ICE using intimidation to discourage people of color from voting to legislation meant to destroy the vote-by-mail process.
In 2026, we're likely to see some of the most serious challenges to our democracy in our lifetimes. That’s why we work with elected officials to address these threats head-on and connect them with networks of champions ready to bring expertise and resources to the fight.
